Students participation in the seminar organized by the Interconnection Office of the University of Patras on “Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation”.

On Wednesday, 23 October 2019, students of the Public Vocational Training Institute (DIEK) of Patras participated in the seminar, which organized by the Interconnection Office of the University of Patras on “Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. “It was a very interesting experience”, as they commented after the event, because they gained important information on entrepreneurship through the experiential lectures of two entrepreneurs Ignatios Fotiou (TOBEA) and Alexandra Makrygeorgou (Liofyllo) who give innovative solutions to problems, with social impact in mind. In addition, the students got acquainted with the tools provided in the city of Patras (incubator and co-working space) by their founders – representatives Alexandra Sarma (Orange Grove) and Naso Koskina (Pos4work) respectively, as well as the funding tools provided by National Bank to encourage the students and dare in business. Rachel Tsoutsani, a spokeswoman for the Industrial Property Organization (OBI), also made an important presentation on securing copyrights and patents as well as presentations of professors Dr. Panagiotopoulos Georgios and Dr. Tsakalidis Athanassios that showed another aspect of education combined with entrepreneurship.
